Vajrasattva Retreat 2005:

On 5 January 2005, a three-month Vajrasattva Retreat was held at Sravasti Abbey. During the retreat, each morning the participants took turns leading their fellow retreatants in cultivating a good motivation for their meditation that day. You may want to read one of these motivations each morning to inspire your practice

Motivations by Miles - Feb 5, 2005

So, as we continue onwards -kicking our butts to enlightenment- let's contemplate together:

  • Like what was said yesterday, "Could we be doing anything more beneficial?"
  • What was life like before you met the Dharma?
  • Is the Dharma the one thing that is consistent, a guarantee?
  • The last thing that Lama Zopa said to us before he left was, "This is the best thing you will do in your life."
  • Wow! Just glancing into his eyes and even looking at his photo now, you know he was speaking the truth. Feel it in the heart.
  • Together, on behalf of all sentient beings, let's go for refuge, let's purify our minds as best as we so that this world will have peace.
