Is there a meeting ground for science and religion?
Ven. Thubten Chodron shares with us her perspectives during the
Mind/Life Conferences of 1989, 1990, 1992 and 2000, when His Holiness
the Dalai Lama and Western scientists discussed the mind, the brain,
emotions, and so forth. The purpose of these conferences was for
scientists and Buddhists to exchange ideas, not to stretch the parallel
points between the two disciplines. While raising many interesting
questions, these articles offer brief summaries of the outlook Buddhists
and scientists from various fields of expertise have on our human
experience.
